Charmios Studio Artist Susan MSUSAN M. is a mixed media artist with no idea what she's doing. Well, some idea. She's definitely making art, but beyond that, who knows. A 2016 graduate from Eastern Connecticut State University, Susan has been making art since she can remember. Susan has participated in multiple group shows and works in a studio at 6 Rubber Ave. in Naugatuck. Born and raised in Connecticut, Susan is influenced by nature, emotion, humanity, and even materials themselves. With a B.S. in communication and a minor in writing, Susan strives to communicate messages through her work. Many pieces feature text or lettering. Thematically, she focuses on women and the female experience, but also touches on time, death, life, love, and regret. Susan is Co-Founder and Editor in Chief of Bruised Knuckles, an online variety magazine. With vast areas of interest and a short attention span, Susan makes art quickly and tends to jump back and forth between works-in-progress until she finally actually finishes something. Susan is in the process of compiling a book of poetry. Susan loves pizza, walks in the woods, the smell of apricots, black sharpies, and a good rousing game of hide and seek. Susan can be found on Instagram and Twitter as @susanisrad and her artwork can be found on Etsy at
